Mangingi - Chamorro tradition, showing respect, usually towards older members of the family or clan. The action is to take the person's hand in yours and bring it to your nose or forehead, inhaling, while bending towards them. It almost looks like a gentleman kissing a lady's hand or wrist. This gracious gesture encompasses a great deal of Love towards our elders, and is the essence of what makes Guam so beautiful. Reverently posted by Webmaster
